Mel D, A native Arkansan, has become a well accomplished artist and his artistic touch is very easy to spot. His abilities with clients are exceptional. He utilizes a quarter century of experience, dedication, humble manners, devoted attention to detail and a fantastic imagination to produce the amazing artistic bodies of work found within the galleries of this site. His loyal clientele keeps him busy so expect to set an appointment before being tattooed. Walk-ins are accepted when time allows for it.

The artwork you see in his gallery is custom unless otherwise noted. The majority of his tattoo work is drawn on the canvas he's most comfortable with, the skin. Mel rarely works with patterns, tattoo flash or stencils while tattooing. This does not mean he refuses to work with it, it simply means that the majority of his clients prefer Mel for his own imagination.

Mel has been tattooing for almost a quarter century! He has won 87 national and international awards in tattooing and over 100 awards in art prior to his first tattoo. Mel's work is credited with 4 published magazine covers and over 100 publications in many different tattoo based international magazines.

Mel is the primary owner of Inkjunkys Tattoo, born October of 2000 in Conway, Arkansas. The studio moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, August of 2008. Within the first year in Oklahoma, Inkjunkys became a big hit and a top four write in for Tulsa's Best Tattoo Studio. The next year, Mel closed the studio in December 2009 for personal reasons. Now the studio has opened again! The studio is located at 7123 Suite A, S. 92nd E. Ave. Tulsa OK 74133 the studio sits directly behind the Quick Trip on E. 71st St. between Mingo Rd and Memorial in the Woodland Hills mall area.

Mel draws, paints, silkscreens, and experiences with different medians on a regular basis. Often times producing prints for sale. When Mel is home, he takes care of his son or travels so he does not take work home. That time belongs to his personal life. If your tattoo requires the design be put to paper then expect the work to be done immediately prior to your tattoo procedure.
